Years of Experience in Healthcare

Zorina Thomas-Jackson, CPC, CPC-I has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare, working in the management, reimbursement, billing, and coding sectors, in addition to being an instructor she has years of experience in the health insurance field, including customer service, claims, quality, and coding.

Besides being the Director of Operations for one of Long Island’s largest Neurosurgical Practice she serves as a consultant providing coding and documentation education and training for physician-based specialties, as well as inpatient and outpatient hospital services. She has an extensive background training physicians and support staff in the government and private sector. Her experience includes working in single and multi-specialty physician offices serving as a compliance officer, consultant, instructor, and auditor.

As the owner and president of NEXT LEVEL CODING LLC it is Ms. Jacksons’ goal to help her student attain their national coding certification which demonstrates a professional’s working knowledge to support cleaner claim submission, faster reimbursement, fewer denials, and better run practices and facilities. It is her goal to serve as a representative of members working in medical coding, auditing, regulatory compliance, revenue cycle management, and practice management.
